Natasha
Lead Registered Veterinary TechnicianNatasha, a graduate of Oulton College in Moncton, New Brunswick, is a Registered Veterinary Technician with over a decade of experience in the field. She is Birchwood’s Senior Lead Technician, providing guidance, mentorship, and expertise that help the team deliver high-quality care.
Her journey into veterinary medicine began early, growing up surrounded by personal pets, livestock, and wildlife. Seeing how deeply animals rely on us, and how much comfort they give in return, inspired her to become an advocate for their care and wellbeing.
Natasha has worked in a bilingual small animal practice, spent several years as an emergency technician in Hamilton, Ontario, and later returned to general practice where she discovered a passion for pediatrics and pocket pets. These experiences shaped her current approach, combining hands-on skill with mentorship and clinical guidance.
Now based on the East Coast, Natasha supports Birchwood remotely and returns in person for scheduled sessions throughout the year. Her focus is on mentoring staff, supporting clinic operations, and maintaining clinical standards to ensure the team continues to provide excellent care.
Outside of work, Natasha enjoys curling up with a good book and spending quality time with her hubby and son. Her household is lively, featuring Harvey, the wise old Labrador; Hank, the playful Bernese Mountain Dog; and feline royalty Bellini and Toast. She is also passionate about wildlife rehabilitation, including the unforgettable challenge of caring for 32 baby bunnies in her bathroom!
Even from afar, Natasha’s expertise, guidance, and experience make a meaningful impact on the Birchwood team.
